Bug Out Bass Gear

I have a roller bag of clothes and meds and other small items.
I have a backpack of tech. Work and personal laptops, external drives, charging bricks, etc.
I have one bass in a gig bag. My decision was a no brainer.

Fortunately, I'm not in an evacuation zone. I feel terrible for those who lost it all, or even some of it.

My wife, my dog, my old Pbass, meds. Nothing else really matters. If I didnt have ten minutes, I'd leave the bass

I was just reading how some people were trying to get out and the roads got all clogged in the hills and they were told to abandon their cars and run for it. That's really paring your life down to the minimum.

In that case, I'd sadly have to ditch the basses for sure (although with the Mono Case gig bag with backpack straps it might be possible to take that).

If abandoning my truck were to happen I would probably end up grabbing a shoulder bag or backpack with:

•Documents - I actually went through the small fireproof safe and sorted out all the key docs and put them in a separate envelope inside the safe in case something like this happens.

•Hard drive - I keep all work files, photos, digital docs, etc. on these external drives and never on the laptop/computer itself. That way I don't need to worry so much about the computer if it breaks or having to take it in an emergency. I will buy a Invalid Link Removed or two that are very small and will allow me to be mobile when bugging out. If the laptop happens to fit in whatever bag/backpack I have on me then I will take it.

•Sig and some mags.

•iPhone

•The one plush toy that is my avatar.

Not expecting wildfires over here but I keep thinking I should downsize to what I could realistically get into my Cherokee.

OP I hope you don't have to choose what to save and what to leave.

Sorry you (and all the others) have to deal with this.

Generally the worst I have to deal with is the very occasional tornado (rare) or frigid cold accompanied with snow (unfortunately all too common). Personally I'd have a hard time leaving the Mesa stuff behind.
