Since today 7/13/16 when I click a link I see a drop down asking if I want to 'stay on this page' or 'leave this page' . This is something new and I'm wondering if there's a problem with the software.

That dialogue window is browser-generated, afaik. One usually gets that dialogue after text is entered on a page and hasn't been submitted before leaving the page. Maybe try resetting/clearing cache in your browser? Which browser are you using?
