Ok. Normal channel is too dark for me, even with presence cranked.
I've found 2 good ways to balance the channels.
1. split your signal then run a compressor into channel 1, no compressor into channel 2. This lets you fine tune the level of channel 1 and prevent any cringe-inducing volume spikes, as well as acting like a multi-band compressor! Sounds sweet once dialed in.
2. Set presence and treble off, bass 3-5, channel 1 at 1, channel 2 at 2. Control your "highs" with the mid control. I like it around 4. It's pretty dang loud with the volumes at 1 and 2, so I use the volume knob on the bass to attenuate as needed.
