BUGERA BN410TS BASS CAB?

Has anyone tried out this 4x10 cab, says it has 4 TurboSound 700watt 10" woofers a total of 2,800watts at 8ohm's WOW, seems a bit much doesn't it? I would only want between 300 and 1000 watts playing through my 4x10 any more and I would just add another cab. Can someone really put a 2,000 some watt head into this thing and jam it all by itself and sound good?

If that whole cab handles 700 watts, I would be surprised.

Bugera them selves say to run their Bugera 36000 head into it, which they say can go to 3,600 watts 1,800 biamped, that just seems ridiculous for a head that cost only $500

They be smokin' them new hemp cones methinks ;) .

But yah, cab should be fine with a 350wrms head - 700w real power handling, displacement limited to half that. 1400w "program", 2800w "peak" whatever them BS numbers mean to you LOL. The 36000 is actually rated at 800w "peak" per channel at 8 ohms so yah, fine to drive one or two of these cabs.

I briefly owned the premium Bugera 115 BN155TS I think. It sounded decent hooked up to the Veyron amp they had at the demo space. But, when I got it home and hooked it up to my MB800 it was a different story. It was rated at 2000 watts per Bugera. It was easily farting out with 500 watts on tap (and the gain and master at very modest levels). I'm guessing it'll be a similar story on the 410.

No. And no way can that cab actually handle 2800 real watts.

Bugera lists Peak wattage, not RMS. I asked them about this and they said:

"Dear Andy, MUSIC Group chooses to do this across all our brands and products as we feel it's a better indication of maximum power, and a number that's more difficult to exaggerate across the market for a specific item. It can actually be a more accurate metric. Thanks for your interest!"

This is a Behringer product, right? I still have a BA115 and BA210 that I use for practice. They're going on 10 years old and have held up fairly well, other than scratchy tweeters that were never that great to begin with. They lose a lot of clarity at high volume, IMO, but are good for what they are: an inexpensive set of speakers.

Resurrecting an old thread here.

I bought the bn410ts a few weeks ago and I have only good things to say about it.

Build quality is great - the surface coating is going to get scratched and is prone to collect marks but that's the last thing I care about (i know that's not the case for other people).

Sound: It sounds punchy - tight and reproduces everything really nice. (there's no linear cab - no discussion).
Low B comes out great (TRB6p Modulus Quantum6 TRB JP2 Cort A5 with US-made MK5 PUs ).

Loudness - boy that thing can go loud - really loud. I'm driving it with a Crest CPX 2600 and if I want to our FOH engineer can't distinguish if the bass comes from the P.A. or the cab (mind You I'm talking about an L-Acoustics Kara line array and we play loud - (13 piece band)).

To keep things clear:

My big rig is an Eden US-made 410&210 xlt stack and my favorite cabs (provided by the backline companies) are the EBS 410 (both neo and proline) and the GK-410 RBH.

But that sweet little (well it's not a small cab, neither a light one but manageable especially compared to my 410xlt) Cab is an outstanding cab and a real steal for the money. I've paid 350 euros.

Highly recommended!
