Has anyone been brave enough to lay down $200 for one of these?

Wondering if they'd be good enough for a mod platform or refinish.

Yes - the translation is hilarious! It just adds to the mystique of the actual product for me!

With a polished surface, the bass looks smoother and more shiny, it features solidity but no harmful odor.

I used to cruise Japanese websites and hit TRANSLATE to read epic phrases along the lines of 'fine veneer for satisfied dark cloud of sunray' or some other fabulous non-sequiturs.

Isn’t it???? It’s absolutely NUTS. This is, hands down, the best time to be a musician. Cheap gear when I started in 1984 was complete hot garbage.

same! the ax referenced in the OP looks 'fancy schmancy' compared to the glarrys...fancier price, too!

per the OP: what i like about it (as a modding platform) is that:
- it has a two-octave neck (but: more frets to remove! ).
- uses 2 pickups! --- that i'd like to try (and then probably replace with other pickups i'd like to try!).
- it looks cool (IMO).
- it might balance.
- they have a neck-through model (if that's your thing).

my fear is:
- it's too heavy for a cat who's trying to go in the opposite direction.

It's that simple! But for reals, it looks decent... if I had a couple hundo it would be fun to try it out, at least a decent modding platform maybe? Guessing similar quality to a Glarry or HB

Found these two. One is in Russian I believe - music starts at 1.17 Mins. For $250, I might grab a 5'er if I had the cash to play with. Looks nice.

Bullfighter is - or was - a Chinese brand that used to be found in places like AliExpress and I wouldnt doubt if they are still there. My issue with these type of instruments are often found in the details such as haphazardly cut nuts, rough frets, questionable tooling, substandard electronics, etc.....Im always "Buyer Beware" but "Cool if it works out!" with these instruments....For me, its not worth a 200 dollar dice roll but your mileage may vary

Looks like the Xavier brand bass I had around 20012-2015. It was kinda junk. Sharp and uneven frets, the pickups sounded awful, not a terrible feeling neck but the finish was worse than most Squiers.
