My hands were tied, the operations are overseen by regional management. As the manager my concerns were dismissed offhand.
My primary functions wound up being to keep an eye on the till, and since the employees showed up when and if they felt like it, to fill in as needed on the grill or register. Ordering was done by regional management. I was basically a babysitter and policeman.
I didn't stay very long.

A tad off topic, but check this out..1 lb of pot roast and four 1 lb beef patties! ImageUploadedByTalkBass1391187403.928484.jpg

Ever since McDonald's changed the Quarter Pounder a few years ago, my heart has belonged to Burger King ever since. I try to have it almost once a week.

I actually still haven't gotten over the shock since I practically grew up on McDonald's.

Years ago, I much prefered McDonald's on the occasions when I wanted fast food.

Then, slowly but surely, McD's made their premium sandwiches smaller, made them much more gross tasting, while gradually ratcheting up their prices.

In my opinion, McD's now has the lowest quality "food", along with the highest prices, of any major fast food chain.

The first Burger King opened in Miami in 1954.
My dad and I would go there sometimes. They were 18 cents.
The buns had sesame seeds on them, and my dad said they were bird seeds and if I ate the whole burger I could whistle like a bird, which he always demonstrated.

Since I was 5-7 at the time I couldn't finish the burger nor whistle.
THEN... one day I ate the whole thing, and guess what, I WHISTLED LIKE A BIRD !
Thanks for posting this; a nice memory.

Yeah, the QP was much better before McDeath started this whole nonsense about putting chunks of onion the size of Rhode Island in them. The smaller, diced onions (though they're dried and reconstituted) were just fine. Normally, I hate onion on any burger; it's all you taste on it.

I was actually referring to a change in beef to supposedly a higher quality.
