I'm a vegetarian, and I don't eat at any fast food franchise restaurants, but I will drink McDonalds coffee. I like Mexican places where they don't speak English, Asian places where the owners don't speak English, but their children do, and so they leave the table where they are studying their school books to take my order, and Italian places, where Tony, the family patriarch is barking orders (in English, with a thick Italian accent) at his kids in the kitchen, while his mother, (who can speak English, but mostly speaks in Italian) sits at a table, prepping something as she daydreams about the boyfriends she had back in Sicily before the war.

Sadly.... its not the horrible death food that turns me off- its the utterly incompetent mouth breathers that McDonald's INSISTS on hiring in my area that makes me hate them so much. I can count on one hand the amount of times I've went to McDonald's in the last 5 years and I left satisfied. Horrible service, bad attitudes, dirty stores, long wait times, poorly cooked food and wrong orders. Always.

I gotta go with McDonald's ever since BK retired the Chicken Fries. I much prefer the chicken to either of their burgers. Haven't gotten a burger at either place since McDonald's stopped selling that Big N Tasty.

Dairy Queen. If I'm gonna eat a store burger. Then A&W, BK, Wendy's and lastly McD's. McD's always sends me to the races. I prefer Subway or Quiznos to burgs though.

For a vote between the two, BK it is. Hold the onions. Extra pickles.

About 60% of North Americas McFries are made right here in this little town I live in. Can't beat Mickey D's fries.

It's cool to see so many votes for A&W. I love that place, true old-fashioned hamburger joint food. And I love the root beer, still my favorite. But they do take forever to make your food, so you can only go there when you have the time and patience to wait. Not good at the drive-thru. Better to sit in the lobby and have a good chat while you wait.

An overindulgence of McDeez and BeeKiing over the past few decades almost cost me my life this past summer. I now have a new, plastic aorta and a damn good reason not to eat the slop they call food in those places, anymore.

Choosing which of these two houses of garbage to buy a burger from is like choosing which eye you want to poke out with a pointed stick.

The correct answer is Neither.

up until a few years ago it would have been burger king, but the systematically axed every menu item I enjoyed.

now I'm all about McChicken, no mayo, add pickle, add bbq sauce.

but I'll agree Wendy's is way above those two. and Wendy's in my area seems to hire all the hard working and competent teenagers, must be why Mcdonalds and BK can't seem to find any.

also, question, is getting your food in a burger king a huge production of people yelling at each other for 5 minutes before it's finally done? every burger king in my area operates like this. every KFC as well.

the wendy's and taco bell's are seemless well oiled machines, half the time you're not even done paying and you have your food. Arby's and Mcd's are hit or miss

Umm, a $1.80 for a sausage and egg burrito + coffee for breakfast. One dollar lunch for a fry burger and water. One dollar and 49 cents for a Whooper Jr and water for supper.

At BK!

That's $4.29 a day to eat.

And then I grab my shopping cart, look for aluminum cans and find a nice section of side walk for the night.

I love America!
