Speaking for myself, when I am on the hunt for something I have alerts on eBay and TB and I spend way too much time surfing Reverb and GC used.
At least in my case, unless you were simply fast enough to close a deal before me, I already passed on the pricing offered.
Doesn't leave any room for you to put any vig on it for your trouble.
For any other members that aren't as focused as I am, or simply tempted by things they see, it might work.
However, you may want to refer to this thread first:
Sounds good in theory because you see a lot higher prices on talkbass classifieds so your probably thinking you'll be able to make a nice profit flipping basses. Problem is if you pay attention to talkbass classifieds over a long period of time you'll see a lot of the basses are overpriced and don't sell as fast as you'd probably think.
If you can buy a bass so low on eBay that you can pay shipping costs, resell it on TB and still make money factoring in shipping and paypal costs, go for it. With the current market, I would be very surprised if you can do that and consistently make money.
