Double Bass buzz

One time I was tuning with a pianist before our rehearsal. I started playing my low C-string and me and the pianist looked at each other with horror in our faces because there was this awful, scraping buzz that was coming from my bass. Then I realized I still had my keys clipped around my belt loop.

At a rehearsal one day with a couple of guitarists who didnt like using tuners, they kept trying to tune to each other and couldnt get it down on any of their strings.

After an hour of frustration, i went over and turned off the circular ground fan (those old school types that blow upward) and things were fine.

lol.

I have two dozuki (japanese pull-saws) that are hung next to one another that love to buzz sympathetically when I'm playing basses. Before discovery, they had been the silent culprit when mystery buzzes were being investigated.. :scowl:
