I've tried using my Yammy keyboard sustain foot pedal as a footswitch for the B2 and it worked. However, there is a problem, the B2 will go straight into mute mode when I briefly tapped on the pedal without even holding it. Can anyone explain why?
I don't know I just built a footswitch for my Zoom B2 and I'm having the same problem as other guys, the switch works for all other Control settings, but when setting to BP it goes to mute/tuning mode rather than actual bypass.

You may have figured it out by now, but for future readers I believe you need a normally closed momentary switch. This poster appears to have a normally open switch, so pushing it makes the B2 think you've been holding it down for a long time and releasing it puts it in mute/tuner mode.
Hope this helps, I'm getting a switch tomorrow and I've already tested this with a stripped wire.
