I've got a MB200, one of the new ones with only speakon connectors and i'm curious is it safe to make a speakon to 1/4 adapter and if so, what should i look out for. Also, if i'm daisy chaining two cabs together that are 8 ohms, my load is 4 ohms correct?

Don't hold me to this but I'm pretty sure that two 8ohm cabs daisy chained = 16ohms. but two 8ohm cabs wired in parallel = 4omhs.
maybe someone who knows more could correct me but that's what I think

Yes, it's perfectly safe to make a speakon to 1/4" cable. You can purchase one already made too.

ITs fine to use 1/4" phone connector with a speakon. Just be mindful of polarity when making the cable. The tip of the phone plug goes to positive contact of the speakon. The sleeve goes to the negative. Simple.

If you have the skill to make a cable you have the skill to add Speakon jacks to your cabs. Rocket science it isn't.

But then you would need to make a Y speakon cable to connect both cabs. Or install parallel jacks in the cabs.

A cable would be much better than an adapter.
