Sounds like you need Cabinetron. You could totally fix everything you don’t like.I've tried several Ir's... but all of them, more or less, tend to sound harsh or closed in the high frequencies, preferring exaggerated low frequencies...

Does anyone know any good impulse responses or cab sims that I can use to match the sound I am hearing out of my Fender Bassman Neo 410? Thanks!
Hello, I haven't gone through all 40 pages of this thread, but really appreciate what I've come across so far. I’ve been playing bass for over 20 years, but IR is completely new to me. Seems like I have a lot of catching up to do.
I'd greatly appreciate recommendations for a high quality cab sim pedal that I could load the Bergantino/Celestion IR collection onto and would keep things simple-ish. It seems not every pedal is compatible with every downloadable IR?
I noticed that people here like Two Notes products, but I'm concerned about the complexity. For example, I'd like to avoid moving simulated mics around simulated speakers in a simulated room. I'd prefer a limited number of good options from which to choose, if possible. With some luck and help from you all, I'm hoping to find a favorite simulated cab or two within that Berg collection to use for recording at home (which is also new for me). I’m used to moving a lot of air with a non-simulated Bergantino cab and favor a clean, uncolored sound, in case that influences recommendations.
Confession:
I get impatient/frustrated/overwhelmed by new gear with lots of options. I want to be able to plug in, eq minimally with a good preamp pedal, perhaps add subtle reverb to help it sound like I'm playing in a three-dimensional space, then largely ignore my laptop and other gear and focus on playing bass. I'm willing to try a number of options out, twiddle, and learn what is necessary to arrive at that point. I don't yet understand what kind of interface (hardware or software) will be necessary to try out the various mics and other options these Berg IRs offer. Perhaps Celestion’s ‘Playing Style’ IRs would be a good and/or simpler starting place for me?
If you know of articles, YouTube tutorials, or other resources that might help, and not overwhelm, someone in my position or you think an amp sim or other approach would be advisable, please let me know.
Thank so much!

Any metal players here? I'm looking for tested recommendations for IRs to use live in a dense mix. Not looking to emulate any certain cab, just wondering what has worked for you guys so far.
Also, does anyone know where I could find an IR with just a healthy amount of LPF and HPF for bass and no additional EQ?
