Compared to a Bag End 2x10, the Super Compact puts out way more lows. (The cabs are the same dimensions) I've been rolling the bass eq back for the first time in my life! It's easy to over pressurize a small room with bass and 33 watts through an SC can be pretty loud! Bass traps are good for smoothing out the sound. Maybe try putting the cab on the 15ft wall, raise it up a couple of feet, move it out from the wall if there's enough space, and keep it away from corners. (It's a hifi audio approach and may not make a diff)Can a cab be too much for a room? My practice space is a former bedroom, roughly 12 feet by 15 feet. My current practice cab is a Barefaced Super Compact 1x12, 600 w. I'm using a Quilter Interbass to drive it, 33 w. at 8 ohm, and it's plenty loud enough for me. But the acoustic results are not good. I've experimented with a couple of bass traps, and they help some, but I'm starting to wonder if a smaller cab would be better.
Any suggestions?
Guess which rig sound the best in this room...My music room (and rehearsal space for the band) is 16'x18' with three open doorways, two of which are dead in the corners (which helps avoid some bass buildup there),

Some notes might be such low frequency (and long wavelength) that they take more than 12 feet to fully develop. So basically the resonance of your room may be reducing some of your lowest frequencies.
