I have a friend who has gotten the new 200w Warwick Gnome 2x8 cab and he loves it. 24 lbs He uses it to play smaller gigs in downtown Nashville and has been happy with it. The thing that's different about the Warwicks vs many micro cabs is that some of the cabs are offered in 4 and 8 ohm options.

The 4 ohm options make it possible to extract the full power from micro heads like the Gnome, BAM200, ELF, ANT, the new Darkglass 200 series amps, etc.
I personally have an ELF 110 cab and love it, but it is pricey vs the new Warwick offerings. It IS lighter, though, at 16 lbs. I bought my ELF before the Gnomes were available. I've played the Gnome 110 as well but was less impressed with it. The ELF 110 beat the snot out of the Gnome 110 in depth and low-end response, and the Gnome 110 ran out of steam really quick, comparatively. I definitely recommend the dual driver Gnome cabs for anything above bedroom/apartment volume level practice.
If you end up finding some extra coin, I still feel that the ELF 2x8 is a fantastic cab. But they are almost $600 now, and that's just a lot.
I also had major back surgery almost 2 years ago and have gone to all lighter-weight/Neo cabs. I have a pair of GK Neo 112 II cabs that are 27lbs each and I LOVE them. I went for a small jam at a friend's house last Friday. I was wavering between taking the ELF 110 and the GK 112. I decided to take the GK and a Tone Hammer 500 and as usual, I loved it. I grab the ELF 110 when physical volume is a factor. If I have space, the GK 112 gets chosen every time. The weight penalty, if your back can handle it, is worth it to me.
Best of luck, man. I'm sorry for your injury. Back issues are awful. Thankfully, there are a LOT of great lightweight options these days! The only issue is that they are usually twice as expensive as the traditional options. :/ Hope you can find some good prices on new gear, or maybe score some sweet deals on used items.
