Cabinet for Ashdown ABM 500 EVO II

Hi people!!!

I’m looking to put a new cabinet for my Ashdown ABM 500 EVO II, a 4 ohms one for take out all the watts of the head. I want a 2 speaker cab, for rehearsal and use it for monitoring or for small hall shows. I play death metal, with distorted tone with a Darkglass B7K, and tend to favour mids in the eq, for the tone and cut through the mix.

My question is if I need a 2x10 or a 2x12, what is the better suited? Do you recommend me any cab in particular? I’m avoiding 4x10 or more for the transport issues, need a smaller cab, and light preferably.

I use an ABM 500 II. Currently with a Berg NV215 but I've used it with 410s, 810s, 1x15 - always sounds awesome!

Ashdown has the RM 212 at 4ohms

I would suggest 2 210s, either the Ashdown RM EVOs or the new ABM Pro Neos. The 2 cabs wouldn't be that much bigger than 1 212 cab and you would push more air with 4 10 inch speakers. I use those cabs with the ABM EVO II. They are great. I replaced my RM cabs with the Pro Neos recently. They're about 35lbs each. The 212 EVO cab Ashdown just put out is a good price, but only handles 300w. Of course there are other options for 212 cabs with higher wattage handling, but they'll be more than double the price. GK, Darkglass, Aguilar. I don't have any experience with those though.
