Hello to all, I was considering to make myself a small headphone amp as a side project. I enjoy fooling around with electronics, and have always done the setups and changed the pups and electronics for my instruments as well as some of my friends, just for the fun of it. I happened to stumble onto Walter's schematics on his website and wondered if it was possible to actually make an HA-1 with this schematic.
Has anyone here actually tried doing this, what was your result?

I built a copy of a Rolls headphone amp using the schematic that came with one that I bought; it worked great. You could check the Rolls site to see if they have downloads.

Kudos to Rolls for giving complete schematics to their equipment. I built one of their active phantom powered DIs from the schematic I downloaded from their website. One of the coolest designs I have ever seen.

And I might as well mention Peavey too. They will send you complete schematics for their products, even discontinued products, no questions asked.
