It is strange, but the Cali seems to be the hottest thing in compressors right now. I could go Diamond or Empress, but it seems to me, features-wise, that the Cali is a nice marriage of the best features of both of those. I want more of a flavorful compressor at this point, not such a transparent one. It's interesting that there's a gang of M87 users getting excited about the possibility of flipping for an smaller foot print Cali76.
Price?
Same deal, smaller boxes = better to fit the PT2I'm with you on the flavor thing... also, for me the size of the box matters. I limit my pedal board size to a PT2, so I try to use MXR sized boxes when ever possible.
>$400 is a whole lot, but maybe street price will be less. Then again, it does look mighty high quality. And they'll come up cheaper used.Over 400, which seems nuts IMO. I'd love to try one, but I can't do that on a compressor unfortunately.
Sigh. lol

It is pricey but so were the larger ones people kept raving about. BTW they confirmed they've shrunk the same circuit.
I'll be getting a "bass" model. If I can get something as outstanding as an FEA or Diamond in a tiny package with top jacks it's worth it to me.
