Cali76 only smaller?

Ok, so this certainly isn't a demo, but it is a good representation of the sound of the Compact Cali. Straight thumbstyle improv jam to a drum loop. Ratio at about 9:00, input set to react to most dynamics, HPF at noon, no dry blend. This is aldo toward the S/F side of the ratio. I know there isn't a dry sound to compare it to, but if you have used an 1176, you will most likely immediately notice the character.

great sound .... did u use some reverb ?

FWIW: I ordered a Cali76 G-P direct from Origin 9 days ago, payment up front of course. I pinged Origin yesterday, no response yet. A friend who recently ordered a G-P from Origin said that they are a little slow like that, but he did receive the pedal (and loves it).

Don't get worried yet. If you ordered direct, then it's coming from the UK and the govt gotta get their hands on it before you do..lol. I've had great customer service/response from Origin, the wait is worth it.

They're normally very responsive. I imagine they've been inundated between orders and inquiries.

I got the CB because of the HPF. Already using the Thumpinator, (and ordered two FDeck HPFs before I saw the CB), and this saves a pedal on the board. I use the TX-L (the one in the picture is the TX-P, and a spare). The Cali76 is just so quiet and sounds utterly natural.

Like you, compressors are a must for me.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the HPF in the Cali isn't actually in the signal chain - it's just on the side chain. So unless your only use for the Thumpinator or FDeck is to get your compressor to behave...they don't seem to be rendered useless by the Cali (if you want to actually filter those subsonic frequencies from hitting your amp/cab/di, you'll still need one).
