Call it what it is ...

Any "Business-Speak" that pours out the mouths of MBA-grads to sound like the smartest people in the room…doubly-so when they actually believe it to be a proper substitute for English.

And if anyone thinks this doesn't happen in real life, hoo-boy do I have a story for you!

I work in software and this really hits home. Software has become all weird and hippy-dippy, and people just spew acronyms and words just to hear themselves talk, and we keep re-inventing new ways to solve the problem, if we even know what the problem is! I've been to way too many meetings where people just ramble vaguely. Another word I've learned to hate is "collaboration". It just means "we're going to force our customers deep into the development process where we will set up a bunch of vague milestones and nickel and dime them to death! Don't to forget to pay extra for support!"

One thing I've noticed about many developers these days - so many of them know all the buzzwords and know enough about things like OOP, declarative programming, functional programming, etc to get themselves in trouble, so few of them are actually capable of solving the tough problems.

'relic'

Jeez, everyone knows Relic was on the Beachcombers.

And you wouldn't buy a bass from him...

It's not Gibby, it's Gibson
It's not Ibby, it's Ibanez
It's not P Bass, it's Precision Bass unless it's a Squier
It's not J Bass, it's Jazz Bass unless it's a Squier
It's not like we have a quota on the number of characters we can use in our lifetime...

Ok..I was saving this one for last..haha..."That's awesome!" or any variation with the word. Damn..everything is awesome! I should be happy about it though...cause awesome is awesome..yeah!

I didn't read through the rest of the replies and so on...maybe somebody has brought this up already, but if they have, that would be awesome!
Well, when you're part of a team ... Are you not part of a team?

"apples and oranges"

The only difference is color. They are 98% the same freaking thing.
I dunno..... dutch orange pie? Don't think that will work out.

I nearly busted out laughing at my manager at work not long ago. We had put together an outline for a new process, and he said he was going to take it around to the other departments for feedback. Though the way he said it he was going to "socialize it".

The most common endorsement is when a manufacturer allows the artist to buy direct at cost (half of retail) with an occasional freebie thrown in here and there. This is the case with many of the groups and players that youve never heard of gracing the pages of trade mags. Usually the real popular artists are the ones that get the free stuff
My point exactly, it's a discount not an endorsment. If the player pays a dime for anything your not getting an endorsement, just a discount.

Another one that blows my mind is paying for an instrument that has a relic job. That's like earning your black belt in martial arts and washing it in bleach a few times to make it seem as if you have been a black belt for years.

Character marks comes from your experiences with the instrument. Anything else is like a girl with fake (○)(○) (you get the picture),....simply put it's just fake.
