A lot of the early band folks that I knew (including me at one time) used Sears & Roebuck amps. I started playing in 1963. Note the one lone Ampeg amp.

The two happiest days of my life were the day I bought my Voice of the Theatres and the day I sold them![]()

Creedence Clearwater used Kustoms. James Jamerson and Donald Duck Dunn used Kustoms. This is a Sunn enthusiast talking.
John Entwistle was still using Hiwatt. He didn't start the Sunn thing until late 70's which is nearly a decade later. Grateful Dead was using their Owsley PA McIntosh JBL cabs. I'm speaking from actual observation.
Love the pic. Looks like the OLD days.A lot of the early band folks that I knew (including me at one time) used Sears & Roebuck amps. I started playing in 1963. Note the one lone Ampeg amp.

I was there.... Acoustic 150B, two Altec 421 8Hs in Guild cabs (with "Cat Mother" stenciled on the back) a Fender '62 P Bass, Nag Chompa incense.
Oh Yeah... a Sleeveless Levi Jacket with a paisley panel sewn on the back drenched in Patchouli oil......
