CALLING ALL TBers! FIELD TRIP FOR STATISTICS!

Okay, after reading through this thread I wanted to check one out. My local GC has one in stock, so off I went. Here are my impressions on KS10104456.
First, the finish is fabulous. It is set up pretty well. The pickups were not loose. The E string was not quieter than the others. The neck played well. Someone here in Cincy should snag this thing! I really liked it, but didn't pull the trigger. I am having a bass made for me. Otherwise, I would have snatched this up. Btw, this particular Guitar Center didn't have the Road Runner case for this bass in stock. I checked... Good hunting. These are very nice basses indeed. The headstock said, "Made in Korea".

Thanks for the help..... (no help at all!)

Sorry Texas, I just thought I shouldn't just regurgutate all of the good things I and all of the others had already said about it.

I love mine for several reasons;

Looks - it just has that VIBE to it.
Tone - It has that 1960s but better than Gibson SOUND to it.
Playability - YIKES mine has a great neck. The shape and the finish just make it sooooo dang easy to play.
Quality - Mine seems to be really well built. The finish on mine is exceptional.
Price - Heck the thing is actually affordable to most of us who aren't rich.
CDI factor - Not everyone will have one of these babies.

Now I can hardly wait for my Hipshot Extender Key to get here so I can start playing out with it.

Yeah, I was looking at that and it made me do a double take. My serial number is WAY higher than everyone else's.

I alse owe you an apology. My 1 trick pony comment was a bit premature. After having the last 4 hours with her I have found a TON of different tones. Best of all, she's nothing short of amazing when played through some sweet tube grit!

No worries. I was a bit brusk and this is no excuse, but since I had just finished reading two of the most idiotic threads I have ever seen anywhere, on any type of forum, I was still in heavy sarcasm mode.

I just wanted to push you closer to buying one. I figured once you got it outside of GC you'd be able to really hear what she can do and it would be love at second site.
(get it? site) :smug:

There was no offense taken. I just figured that I misspoke, you called me on it, and you were right. So I wanted to own up to it. No worries either way.

And you're right, once I got home and plugged into my rig it was a different story. Small right hand placement changes are VERY audible. Then you have the selector switch, tone knob, right hand technique, etc... I'm very much smitten with my new orange lady. :)
