Calling all Warwick users!!

I am interested in looking at the demographics of the Warwick users on TB. This is what I would like to know from those who are willing to share their information.

1. What Warwick basses have you owned or currently own right now?
2. How long have you been using Warwick basses?
3. What genre of music do you use your Warwick for?

This is something that was on my mind while I was at a gig last night. The bands that played were indie, punk and thrash and each band's bassist was using a Warwick (one bloke had 2 Warwicks).

Here are my answers to my own questions.

1. Corvette std, Thumb BO 5 string (sold), rockbass corvette 4 string active, rockbass streamer 4 string passive.
2. Have been using them since late 06, so about 4 years.
3. I mostly play death/thrash/melodic death metal for which I like using the 'vettes, but I have also used them to do some hard rock and stoner rock stuff.

3)I am currently playing in an instrumental post rock/ambient band,but i've used my 'Wicks to play death metal,metalcore,and heavy metal covers.

1. Fortress Masterman
Thumb Bolt On
Streamer Pro-M
Streamer Jazzman (my holy grail!)

2) Since 1996

3) Prog rock/classic rock.

I didn't know basses could get as fine as my Streamer Jazzman :)

1. Corvette Std FL4, FNA (two 4-sting specimens, one 5), Streamer Std4 (famously put in an active circuit and sold at a profit after 2 years), Rockbass Classic 5FL, and the one currently in my stable, the FNA Jazzman Ltd 2002

3. Classic/prog rock, funk, jazz


The current 'wick in the arsenal is definitely the best one that I've owned, but can feel like too much bass for some gigs that don't really need it.

1)German built Corvette Standard five string, and a Rockbass version of the same for a backup.

2)I've been playing my Warwick for almost ten years now, loved every moment!

3) Punk rock in a couple projects, and an old school, Queen meets GnR meets The Ramones style band that went pretty far.

It's really a special bass. It's been through hell and back with me, and I don't think I could ever, EVER part ways with it. So many memories!

1) Corvette $$ and Fortress One
2) Have had the Corvette for almost 3 years, the Fortress a few months. The Corvette is my main gigging bass.
3) Top 40 covers. I like the $$ because it's really versatile. Mine's heavy though with a thick neck(which I like the feel of the neck), while the Fortress is very light with a thin neck...but I don't think it cuts through the mix as well as the Corvette.

1) 2005 Ltd Edition with 3-band EQ
2) For 5 years now
3) Church praise band (more jazz than anything else) and a mix of R & B and 60's/70's rock.
I bought a Warwick based on its looks, features and workmanship and it has never disappointed me in any way.

a thumb bo fretless and a fretted fortress. i ended up swapping the necks, and am now really satisfied. with the fretted wenge neck on the thumb, it balances perfectly, and the chunky ovangol fretless on the fortress body is a perfect match, as i really love the chunk for fretless, just as i like fender precision fretlesss necks, and again a perfect balance. had both for around 4 years. kinda fusion-ie stuff.

1. 2005 Streamer LX 4, 1994 Thumb NT 5, 1991 Thumb NT 4 (when it finally bloody gets here...)
2. Been playing Warwicks for about 4 years.
3. Rock/Heavy Rock/Ambient projects. Even used the Thumb to record some basslines for some dance tracks!

I've been using the Thumb as my main gig bass. Awesome action and tone. I mainly play top 40 classics to current, and I fiddle with occasional originals ala Police and U2 influenced.

I've been an avid Warwick player since the mid 80's. I'd sell them then pick up 1 or 2 through the years. I've owned pretty much all boutiques you can shake a thumb at (not bragging) and Wick will always have a place in my heart and in my bass arsenal.

1) Currently own a heavily modded Thumb 5 NT, which is my primary recording and gigging bass. Previously owned 2 Corvette Standard fivers, both active, one of which was my primary gig bass from June 2007 until Sep. 2009.

2) Since June 2006.

3) My bands are hard rock/metal bands, but I play a little of everything in the basement :)

1) '98 Warwick Corvette FNA 4 string (formerly owned by Dale Titus of Warwick's Bass Survival 101), '05 Warwick Corvette FNA Jazzman 5 string
2) Since '06, but got rid of the FNA about 3 years ago and the Jazzman about a month ago.
3) A variety of styles. Primarily blues, rock, funk and country, but also Motown and old RnB. That Jazzman sure was a versatile bass. Just fell back in love with the bass I learned to play on, the Peavey USA Cirrus.

1. Have owned: Streamer Jazzman, Active Corvette, Streamer Pro M.
Currently own: Fortress 1, Fortress Flashback.

2. Bought my first Warwick in 1998.

3. I play lots of different stuff. Mostly rock and funk.

4. I play my Stingray and Big Al a whole lot more.
