Double Bass Calros testori bass

Can anyone tell me anything about this, I am about to buy this bass and really don't know anything about it.
I can only find Carlo Testore on the internet, not Carlos

Well, I know absolutely nothing about DB but first off, the name CarloS is Spanish, I believe, in origin. Italians use Carlo, without the s. Secondly, the Carlo Testore you can find online has Invalid Link Removed inside every instrument in all the pictures I could find. So that's not him. Can't help more, sorry.

Your location would help, too.

The was a flood of fake "name" Italian basses about twenty years ago (mostly coming from Hungary, if I remember correctly) and they fooled some pretty reputable dealers. The sad thing was these were actually pretty good basses in the end - like $10,000 good European basses, not $100,000 real Italian basses. This is obviously a fake label, but doesn't have to mean it's a bad bass -- especially if the price is very, very right (under $10K)

op, let us know if you are expecting an old Italian pedigree instrument OR just curious if we've heard of this (clearly fake) label before?

fake labels mean nothing, as others have stated some really nice instruments have fake labels. as long as you aren't getting ripped off.
