Camping meltdown in 3! 2! 1!

Just got back from that. Late Friday night one of the cats knocked over the litter box and there was dirty litter all over the floor and rug. My wife tried cleaning it up, but it seemed to get worse, so she pulled out the vacuum. (I was asleep or I could have stopped her). That got almost all of it. Then she moved the vacuum and it started spitting up all the dirty litter, which made it worse. By this time, I was up. I took the vacuum out and helped clean up the rest of the mess. Now, I need new litter which I usually pour into the litter box outdoors because of the dust, but I couldn't see the tab on the box in the dark, so I took it back in the RV to open it. Then I pick the box up by the handle to take it back out and the entire top of the box rips off. Now there is 25 pounds of litter on the floor. After cleaning that up, I went back to bed only to be wakened again at 1:00 AM because there are ants all over the floor headed for the cats' food. That means a drive to a conveince store to get a can of Raid.
Other than that, it was a fun trip, except maybe it rained most of the weekend. Buy my birthday dinner at Pho Saigon was great.

And THIS is why I just board my critters while gone.

And duct tape ....Keeps'm from getting away before you can drop'm in the hole.
NO! No freaking duct tape - it picks up fingerprints, it can pick up body hair (I am assuming nukes has some after putting his tent too close to a fire ). It doesn't degrade for years. Simple cotton rope - tie them up and then splash with water so it shrinks and they ain't ever wriggling free. I'm guessing dental records won't be a problem, those women probably have some gold fillings and nukes is too cheap to leave some gold behind "just because". But being a hack he will just hack their faces open with a camping shovel and use some pliers.

[Rant]I hate when that happens. Shot an opossum last year, several shots through the head with high-powered pellet gun. Started digging a hole, it comes too. Shoot it a few more times, continue digging and shove him in the hole - comes too again. I beat the **** out of it with the shovel -die 'possum, die! Start shoveling the dirt over him and I see the dirt moving. Fine, went and got the diesel tractor and parked a back tire over it. Check the next day - hole dug out at an angle, 'possum gone. I hate the ones that struggle.[/rant]

My oldest sister is a professional tree-hugger and PETA person, I usually give her the first-run obit. on my kills. :) Kind of a shame about the 'possums, they are one of the few animals I won't eat. Skunks would be the other.:D

I do have an English degree but it pretty much goes to waste with the exception of occasional technical articles I post elsewhere.
