Can anyone identify this bass guitar please?

Reach out to the artist and ask him/her/other. He may be flattered.
I remember asking Peter Steele how he got his incredible sustain and he spent a while describing literally every piece of gear he uses. Like most of us, he enjoyed talking gear with another bass player.
Now conversely, when I asked Dennis Dunaway about his equipment, he said "buy my book".

I'd love to but this bass guitarist is anonymous. The band members are hired musicians, and it seems like he was temporarily there (i think for only that one occasion). And they haven't released any names of all those that have performed in the band, there's i believe over 15 members that have played in the band. So there's no hope in finding the guy who played the bass

Changing a bridge or adding a logo isn't as rocket science-like as it once was!

Take a P-bass and go to town!

It might not be a sig. model so much as possibly a, "Here Mr. Luthier. I need this P-bass to look like..."

It’s a difficult one to place.

Firstly, it’s definitely not a Noir, as that has a matte finish, Pau Ferro fretboard, headstock truss rod access and a standard bridge.

Since the bass in the picture has a high-mass bridge and neck-heel truss rod access, it looks like an American Standard with a different neck.

What kind of neck is also a bit of a poser - it’s not an Aerodyne Jazz neck, as it’s too wide at the nut, and the truss rod access is in the wrong place. It’s also obvious from the relative length of the words on the headstock that it doesn’t say «Jazz Bass», as well. Until something better comes along, my vote is for a headstock refin.

Depends on the work you'd want done.

Find a Local luthier and ask him/her. Can't hurt.

The Japanese market Aerodynes do have dot inlays. Regardless of market or vintage, all Aerodyne basses had a small Aerodyne badge at the end of the headstock. It's missing from this bass neck.

Not true. A lot of Aerodynes have inlays.

Looks like a Japanese market aerodyne neck but lacks the aerodyne logo and looks like it says something other than "jazz bass" immediately after the fender logo. It does appear to have the smoked chrome tuners but appears to be lacking the other smoked chrome aerodyne hardware and it looks like a standard p bass body. I'm not an authority but I'd be really surprised if Fender ever assembled that bass.

Also am I the only one that think it looks funny that they don't cover their hands, too?

You're thinking of the "Jazz Bass Special". That model had a Precision body with a Jazz neck painted body color with black hardware. The back of the neck was painted black or at least it was on my Pearl White JBS. However, the JBS had PJ pickups and the one in this photo looks like it has just a single Precision pickup so it can't be one of those.

I'm going with a Duff Mckagan neck put onto a P Bass body and he changed the headstock hardware to match the body. Pretty cool idea. I wouldn't mind that set up at all.

The neck of the Duff McKagan is painted front and back. The neck of the bass in the OP is not.
