Honestly if your just after the tone you should go play a bunch of p basses and see which one feels the best to you and upgrade it as needed. I don’t believe string through body’s do anything for tone but some guys do. I’m pretty sure that’s a string through body. I would personally be more interested in what pickups they were and what amp/effects/settings. Than I would buy a noir and other toys as necisarry. Honestly though I just walked in my living room and was able to duplicate that sound through a few different heads and basses with some help from my Sansamp and darkglass pedals.

I always run through the Alice Cooper song and some of our music whenever trying a bass. Blue Turk covers a lot of fretboard.

Honestly though I just walked in my living room and was able to duplicate that sound through a few different heads and basses with some help from my Sansamp and darkglass pedals.

It pays to have a good DI box.

Oh really? thanks for saying I am more after the tone rather than the guitar itself! I really hope to duplicate the sound (although i was still definitely curious on what kind of guitar it was)
