Can DIY Project "LSD" Speakers be build into a Re-Cycle Subwoofer?

Hey Guys,

I am wondering if its worth utalizing a donated sub woofer speaker from my neighbour , and buld it into a subwoofer for my Roland AC 60 to back up the bass section for my live setup?

Seeing a hint of a whizzer cone through the grille makes me think that the prognosis is not good. Whizzer cone drivers tend to have relatively short excursion, and the lower you go with a speaker, the more displacement you need to make a difference. I'm wondering if it was ever actually made as a sub, or if the driver got replaced at some point.

+1, that's a whizzer cone. Whizzers are never used on subwoofer drivers. It might still be useful, but the only way to know is to see it in hopes of identifying what it is.

Hey everybody!

Thanks so much for checking it out! LSD was the name of the creator of it which died not long ago (his initials).
My neighbour has recieved these and I was looking for a SUB anyway... Hey it might be not the right Job for Bass SUB but how about for a guitar amp SUB? Well and yes I did think about recycling the parts to just go DIY...

How can I identify the exact speaker stats?

There should be numbers on the driver frame that identify the manufacturer, date of manufacture, and stock number. Once you figure out where it came from the manufacturer may be able to provide specs.
