Can somebody clear this up for me?

Hey guys, I know the rules of TB say that you cannot swear (which I think is totally stupid but that's just me) however I have seen a few of the less offensive swear words get by without incident.

So my question is, what is acceptable to say?

I know the rules say that if its not acceptable on tv, its not acceptable here. But the thing is, tv is different everywhere. different things are acceptable in different places and different stations.

If you can't say it, it'll get changed to asterisks by the programmed rules in the forum software.

If you think you ought to be able to say something you can't, you'll have to take it up with the management...

Anyway - avoid the 7 dirty words. Here are their beginning letter. S, P, F, C, C, M, T.

If you wanted to say "ass" or "boobs" you are probably OK, unless you make an entire page of them. Just don't be purposefully crude and you're golden.

Youve been here for five years, you should know by now what is acceptable and what is not.

i know the rules, i spent 5 years talking like beaver cleaver on this site. and during those 5 years i have seen people break the rule in question. so i figured i would ask the community in hopes to figure out what i can and can not say.

I mean, personally I don't see the problem it they get filtered out by asterisks anyways. I don't get offended by coarse language, and I really only use them when the emotion/situation calls for it.
