Can Someone Name An Inexpensive, Tiny Combo (That Doesn't Completely Suck)?

I guess I should read all of the post before posting! I didn't even see Tom's post! And I was really racking my brain to remember the RAD designator!

Even more proof that the RAD is a great little amp!

+1 On the SWR WM10, if they are blowing them out for 200 bucks that is a steal. I used one of these as my home practice amp for a lot of years (baby baby blue now) and I thought it sounded great! Not to mention I paid nearly twice that for it. You won't get anything better in that price range in my opinion.

I'll join the vote for the Peavey MicroBass. That little booger worked great for me for a bunch of years until it finally died and I'm kicking myself every day for not replacing it yet.

I took that thing all over the place, did a bunch of tiny acoustic-type coffee house gigs, many private house parties and even some smaller church stuff, all of it with low B's. Plus, I used it nearly exclusively for home practice.

I really need to get another one .....

i've got a roland cube 30 that i really like - good sound - it's got a few built in "models" and some decent effects. it's also a suprisingly loud little 30 watts.

+1 on the Peavey Microbass.

Mine sounds awesome and I picked it up used at the swap meet for $20 after a bit of haggling. Swap meet amp deals are the best man.

I've got a little Behringer, $99 new. I'm at work, can't remember the model, but it's 30 watts, 10 inch speaker. It's got a aural exciter knob that adds some depth. It's called a "dynamizer." Took it to a few rehearsals, and it got surprisingly loud, and even handled a BOSS OC-3 octaver stomper box. Good tone and volume capability for such a cheap amp.

The GK Backline 110 is a GREAT amp! I had one and only sold it because I ended up getting a great deal on a Roland 100, and I wanted the integrated compressor because I mostly use the tiny combos for church ensemble. I seriously miss the kickback of the GK tho, and to be honest, I think it's native tone is better than the Roland.

Sweet! So Vic, do you think itd be ok keeping up with an acoustic unplugged, or plugged in at very low levels and vocals either unplugged or slightly amplified? Im thinking of getting one just to have something small and light to grab and go to a friends house, or for some of my tiny gigs.

That particular Ashdown series had/has design problems. Many have failed. I personally observed 2 failing.
