Request Can someone trans the main bass riff if this

Can the main bass riff for this be tabbed to a 4 string ?

I'm trying my best, but right now all I have is my phone and I can't hear the bass at all.

I heard it in the car and the bassline caught me. Kinda funky_groovey... I'd do it myself self, but I literally can not hear the bass on my phone.

Im not looking for the whole song. Just the first 2 parts of the main bass riff. Any help is much appreciated!!!

Agreed. The "bass drum" has a bass undertone and there's at least two synth bass lines crawling around each other but there's definitely no stringed bass instrument there.

It's just two notes, a minor third apart, repeated with slight rhythmic variation
Playing along sounds like E and G
Around 3:00 synth filter wub wub shows up to obscure the pattern

So its E minor.
You could E minor pentatonic all day with this tune

It sounds like D and F so you'd need to be in Drop D on a four string. Use hammer ons and pull offs to keep the synthy vibe.

When I wand to hear the bass on my phone I put my ear on the speaker and most times I can hear it well enough.
I did that here and it worked.

I just ripped it and looped it. Then played along. It’s just Dmin pentatonic scale. Only five notes at max.

They seem pretty simple and are pretty easy to hear with headphones or use Bluetooth to run through some speakers.

Yes, it won't clash the D minor scale notes - D F G A C with Bb major, but the "mode/mood" of the track is different.

Figured it out. If you correct pitch making the track sharper or flatter, dealers choice there. It’s either A or Bb Locrian

I have cubase and a ton of vst's i use, but I don't know my way around cubases pitch/note identification plug ins. I know they are actually pretty decent, I'm just usually writing when using it, not decoding other tracks. I likely need to get on the ball with learing how to use cubase in this was. Seems like it would be super useful at times.

The app you see is Logic Pro for iOS. I also used Koala iOS app to rip the audio from YouTube to create a sequence , then I loaded Koala as a plugin in to Logic Pro as an instrument so the sequence I created would loop in the background.
Nice thing about Logic is anything I do on my IPad I can air drop to my Logic on my MacBook and work on.
Sometime I take my Logic for Mac stuff and finalize it in Ableton 12.
Garage band for iOS is free and has a lot of the same features as Logic.

I use Audacity for rips and cubase for everything else. I've tried to get used to ableton. It looks so easy, but ive been using cubase fir so long, everything else feels alien.

For ripping I think Koala is the best, super easy to use and edit and loads as plugin into everything I have. Even works as a plugin for Ableton on my Mac.

If you ever have the extra cash to convert from PC to Mac it’s totally worth it. Way more compatibility and super low latency with audio interfaces.

Audacity works well enough for me to grab whatever i want to grab. Cubase is amazing at chopping, time stretching, pitch shifting etc. It just can't directly grab audio from the net. So I use audacity to get the audio, and cubase to manipulate it in whatever way I want. It's all very simple. Once I have access to the audio in cubase , the sky is the limit as far as what can be done to it. I adore cubase for the way i can just drag and drop and twist audio to my will. The one thing I really wish was easier with cubase is lfo's. Ableton craps on cubase in that department but I can create an automation track for literally any parameter, button , slider knob on any stock or 3rd party plugins with a single button press and a virtual twist of a knob, so it's not terrible. I just think that the way ableton let's you just drop an lfo into the chain and assign it to whatever you want it cool as heck. If there is a way to do that in cubase, I haven't found it. Getting way off topic here, but hey, it is my thread so I guess it's OK lol.
