I'm curious if this quiz even gets remotely close for anyone. They came up with U2 for me and they're not even in my top 100!

EDIT: I did a second run with a different band in mind and it came up with The Band. That's much closer!

EDIT2: There seem to be a limited number of answers. Here are the bands they came up with so far

U2 as well....They might actually be in my bottom 3 all time. Though I enjoy answering "On a scale of one to ten how famous is your favorite band?" I selected 5....so U2 is only medium famous, love it.

Don't really have a favorite band, but tried it anyway and got the Beatles. Don't mind it's choice one bit.

I got The Band as well...I like them but not even close to my favorite.

I think it has a limited number of stock answers of bands to pick from...

I got U2 as well and not only are they not my favorite band (they are just okay to me); but, my survey answers do not even apply at all to U2.

Not sure how it came up with The Beatles considering I indicated that the band members of my favourite band are all still alive...

My favorite band would likely be the original "Jeff Beck Group" with Rod Stewart on vocals, Ron Wood on bass, Nicky Hopkins on piano and Mick Waller on drums. The likelihood of that appearing on any survey as an answer is nil.

Question #3 was a survey stopper for me. I don't wish to be in any generation. I'm pushing 60 and play in bands that could considered millennial, Gen X and Boomer. And I've been to several shows this past year that range from Govt Mule to KMFDM to Thievery Corp to Glitch Mob to local post rock, hardcore, funk and jazz bands. It's a flawed survey instrument cause it doesn't have the capacity to read who I truly am... which is transgenerational.

I got the All-American Rejects. Not even close. My favorite band is Every Time I Die. The only AAR song I even know is "gives you hell" because we covered it when it was on the radio non-stop a few couple of years back.

My favorite band is the Allman Brothers. I am a big Lynyrd Skynyrd fan as well. Based on the questions, I was also thinking that Marvin Gaye could rank very high on my list and would also be an acceptable answer.

Survey says..... The Band.

Not bad, I like them too. Quite a bit actually. And I did choose "The Last Waltz" when asked for the concert that I most-wished I had attended. So, I'll accept the result as reasonably accurate for my tastes. But, like others, I suspect that there are very few bands that are possible survey results and we are all just going to end up with similar results.

For me it chose The All American Rejects. I've never heard of them.

My favorite band is Genesis.

The interesting thing about this "test" was that many of the questions included no answers that even relate to me.
