ouch! how'd you break your thumb? too much slapping the ol' bass?

i think i remember once reading somewhere Flea was popping and slapping so much a chunk of skin off his thumb came off :S dunno if thats true though

go for a 4 string as a beginner a 5ers a bit much and necks are really wide, im going back from a 5er to a 4 string.

no sadly not did in playing basketball, thought i wouldn't be able to play again! but as you can see all is good.

yeh the squiers go for bout 150-200? go on the squier site and have a look.

yeah its just for bedroom rocking :D maybe jamming with some mates in my house no gig stuff :p

soon im gonna go to my music shop near my town and try to see if they have a Squier Jazz bass and if they have any GK amps

as i want to get a Flea'ish tone heh heh

good luck finding gk amps i have to go exeter and i live in plymouth! but should be a good set up

:S well maybe then my music shop wont have any of them amps!

i was thinking about starter sets however i have a mate who brought a starter bass set and his amp packed up and he had other problems as well with the actual bass! he said its better to buy em individually

i will most likely hopefully get the bass for xmas then with my xmas money then get a amp

this is probally a can of worms as you guys say but is there any major difference between a Squire Jazz Vintage and a standard ? just wanted to know if there was any major differences

hey never say never they mite have it you never know.

your friend is rite to a point i still have and use my original practise amp(40w) but the bass was crap!

indeed buy seperatly and to answer your question i dnt actually know? possibly it just built to be the high end squier?

my music shop isnt really very big but i havent been in for a while so fingers crossed

lol i doubt theres a major difference to the Vintage and Standard

i think i would like to get a Jazz Bass they are sweet if not a musicman if they arent too much

btw Westwood what bass do you currently own?

currently an axl 5er musicman copy, but im waiting for my modulus fb4 to arrive from the states! once that gets here im gonna sell/trade in my axl and get some form of jazz bass? either a highway1 or if i can find one to play a modulus jazz(vj) bass.
