cant believe this happened

hello guys,
for a few months now i have been trying to sell or trade my avatar b410 only because it lacks in the low end department 60hz ouch!! well i was browsing on my local craiglist and i saw some ampeg svt 410 and 610hlf for sell 400-450$(used) instead of buying it outright i decided to ask a few sellers if they would like to trade and i would throw 150$ cash along with the deal.....well one guy said no and the other agreed to the deal the 610hlf for my avatar b410 and 150$ cash. The guy is 51 years old and he dont play as much these days anymore and he needed something lighter (obviously) 65lbs vs 110lbs so he accepted the trade , im going to pick it up in the morning btw its in mint condition..........the only problem is i live on the third floor so uuuuummm yea , do you guys think i got the better deal??View attachment 858323
Don't forget to factor into the deal the close personal relationship you will have with your chiropractor. Even at $25 a visit, it adds up.

So no one but me knows it has a built in handtruck? so that will make it a lot easier to move it for the gigs as you mention just leave it downstairs if you have a place for it.

Wasn't that bad to get upstairs so I can test it,won't be gigging out anytime soon so it will be upstairs at least for two weeks before I play again

I used to bring 2, 8*10 cabinets and two 1975 SVT heads up and down two flights of stairs back in the day so sounds like you have it easy :)

This has been a fascinating thread about stairs.

OP: several folks have mentioned without distinction an Ampeg 410. There are two (three if you count the ancient B40) and they are very different from one another. Also, the 610 is not a low-end monster. It has about the same bottom as an 810 despite being ported and carrying the HLF designation. If you want the massive lows, the SVT-410HLF is the cab to get.
