I've owned 3 FX25's, 2 90's dark-green metallic and one with the blend knob. I took the one with the extra knob back the next day, doesn't do the SWOOOOOSH trick at all. The other two (one of which I still own) are the epitome of what I look for in an envelope filter. Huge low end sound (you have to run a compressor after this pedal) and the top end is sweet. Very easy to work. One of the cheapest on the market. To me-- a no brainer. I may buy another envelope filter one day for different sounds, but the FX25 will always be a mainstay on my board.
