Now here’s something even crazier...Spiders Webb (band) from 1976, two years after the Hampton Hawes LP on the same label (Fantasy). Early Sly-influenced disco, the title track was also released as a 12” dance mix you can find on Spotify.

Spider Webb (apparently her husband at this point) on drums, Carol on lead guitar She only plays bass on one song, “Spider’s Webb”. George “Jazzbo” Spencer is the bassist on the rest of the tracks. Carol gets writer’s credit on 3 tracks.

Dig the fuzztone guitar solo on the second track “I Learned From My Burns"

I picked up Hampton Hawes "Northern Windows” on CD in a 2nd Hand store some years ago. It's a fantastic album!
CK is threat on guitar and bass - Heck, she recorded the guitar solo on La Bamba...
