Carry bag for Genz Benz Shuttlemax 12?

Well, I was trying to replace my well-worn carry bag for my Shuttlemax 12, and after contacting Fender (ugh, I still feel dirty) who responded with a one line email "Genz Banz ceased to exist in 2013", I am now stuck in terms of replacing the bag. Has anyone used a different bag with their Shuttlemax with good results? Thanks in advance (hopefully) for the info.

Ouch......that kinda makes me feel like a zombie.
There are no Stl-max bags left at KMC but the TB crew will offer many options.

I felt that response was rather harsh as well, Jeff. Not in my world...Thanks everyone for the options, I will look into the Gig Skinz bags. Sometimes you can look at something online and think. hmm., that should work....but it's always good to get reports from people who use this stuff first! Thanks!

I've searched far and wide looking for a bag to use with the shuttlemax and like you don't want to gamble and order one that's too small or really too large and bulky. I use an OGio laptop/courier type bag which fortunately holds just about everything I need on a gig for the most part. This or a similar type bag would work and give you some other space to carry things. If I have an extra (my mom gets them branded for her company) And you think it would work for u I'll Pm you if u cover the shipping.

I'm with Jmic as I use old laptop bags for all my small amps. With the Shuttlemax head I use an older larger laptop bag that's perfect for the head. It has large pockets on either side of the padded center compartment that holds the head perfectly. The pockets are large enough to hold my Fat Max 8 Ga. Cables and back ups for mic. Spkr. And guitar cords on one side. The other side holds extension cords and backups for guitards and my lyric book. The bag has and extendible handle and wheels which makes transport a breeze. I also have some tools tuner and various items That might come in handy. I was never a Boy Scout, as a matter of fact I was kicked out of the Cub Scouts haha, long story. I do however try to be prepared. AND laptop bags are a dime a dozen you can find them for next to nothing at garage sales this time of year. I even got 4-5 extras for other stuff for a couple of bucks.

thanks for the offer JMic, let me know how that works out for you. I do need the extra space for cables, that's how mine ended up needing replacement, stretched it too much. Maybe I'll try one of my spare laptop bags and see how it works. I was just hoping for something with a little more padding.

The dimensions listed says 13", my 9.2 is 13-1/2" x 13" x 3-7/8". That seems pretty tight but you obviously are using it. Is it actually a little bigger than listed? The good news is these are $89 on ebay. Sweetwater's price is indeed sweet. I found and am considering this one on the bay, but I have no idea how durable they are.

I like that Odyssey bag. I'm taking my 12.2 to my gig tonite inside of a back pack I already had. I slide it sideways into the middle pocket and there are a few other pockets for cables, strap, tuner, small tool kit, batteries, etc. It may not be for everyone but it serves my purpose very well and its well padded throughout too. I just sling it over one shoulder to carry it.

It fits like a glove. I placed the cusioned padding on the sides, they attach with Velcro. Placed red felt around the front and back hook Velcro as not to scratch the unit. I place the SM9.2 in it knobs facing out towards the handle. Secure tight fit. Mind you the Odyssey has a metal reinforce ring that runs around the entire length of the case.

Looking at that pic it seems like there is not a lot of protection for the knobs ? Does the other side of the bag have more padding ?

There is a metal "bezel" that runs all around the bag that protects the front and back of the unit. It is a tight fit but does protect it securely.
