Cartoons focused on music

Allegro non Troppo, Europe's answer to Fantasia...
Mospeada (Japanese anime, upon which third segment of Robotech was based) has a pop singer as one of its main characters. And then there was Lin/Lynn Minmay, the pop singer in the first Robotech segment. (In the original Japanese version, they had a REAL singer as Minmay's voice actress; the US version, not so much...)

The Flintstones and The Jetsons had quite a few episodes based around music.

The actual band The Beau Brummels were featured on The Flintstones as The Beau Brummelstones.

Daft Punk's Discovery DVD is basically about alien musicians abducted to earth.

Also great to see we have some other anime enthusiasts here :ninja:

Adding to that, Nodame Cantabile is an anime about music majors, great stuff and highly underrated. Great characters.

Any Bugs Bunny / Elmer Fudd collaboration including the Barber of Seville, Wagner's Flight of the Valkyries, etc.

"...kill da wabbit, kill da wabbit!!...."

Come to think of it, I learned more about the arts & sciences by watching Loony Tunes / Merrie Melodies than I ever assimilated during my undergrad years.

...I'm sure you recall why they (in part) came up with that particular name.

Also from The Flintstones was "Stoney Carmichael" (Hoagy Carmichael).

I am glad I was past the target-age of some of these-
Partridge Family 2200?
Bonaduce still looks like his "strumming the bass"!

You can also see the same artists involved...
The Jetsons' Lawrence Welk spoof looks like Fred Flintstone.
Jabberjaw's bassist looks like Shaggy & the guitarist looks like Freddie (from Scooby-Do)

Yes, I do. Interestingly, many people actually thought The Beau Brummels were from the U.K. and part of the British Invasion but they were from San Francisco. They just found a way to tap into the music scene at the time.

When I was a kid, I saw The Beau Brummels perform live in concert at Kennywood Park, in the Pittsburgh, PA area. That is when admission to the park was free (you had to buy separate ride tickets) and every weekend they would have bands in concert or some type of free shows.
