Carvin Bass Cabs

I play country, disco, big band, motown, rock and roll, gospel. Play a Fender Jazz 5 and Cirrus 6 and use mostly inEars or headphones. However on some gigs there is no inear support and need stage amp. I am using Eden Nav and Eden WT1000 power amp. Have not purchased cabinets yet.

I have been hear good stuff about the carvin, but have not played them. Cabinet wise I know one cab will no cover all the applications, so looking at the 210 and 115 and if I need more I can add more. Just want to know what eveybody though about the carvin cabs compaired to Eden, swr, fender, aggie, epifani. I know this is a large varity of cabs, but I have not used a cabinet in years. Need your thoughs. I am look for a light modular rig.

I have the brx 210 and 410 and really like them.They are low punchy and can handle alot of wattage.they are a little heavy for being neos but not bad especially with casters.very well constructed.If your amp could handle it you could get 2brx210s for versatility,but keep in mind they are 4 ohm cabs!

I have one of the BRX 10.2 cabs and I like it a lot. This is mainly my practice and small gig cab. It has no problem keeping up with two guitarists and a drummer.

I hope Carvin put better speakers in their bass cabs than their guitar combos. A friend has a 1x12 Nomad, and after years of working on getting good tone out of it, he replaced the stock speaker with a Reverend. Night and day, in fact the biggest single improvement I have ever heard.

I'm pretty sure Carvin uses Celestion speakers in their Vintage series amps, now.

I use Carvin BRX series 2x10 and 4x10 and they are excellent sounding speaker enclosures. I've been playing for 35 yrs and they're some of the best sounding speaker cabs I've ever heard.

If I were buying Carvin bass cabs, I'd either go with a pair of Invalid Link Removed or one of Invalid Link Removed.

Regular BR series are ok, but BRX are great. Lots of good reports on here for that series.

I have a BRX10.2, it's just about a one-hand carry.

I have the BRX 410 & 212 cabinets as well as the BR410 & BR18 cabinets. No comparison, pound for pound the BRX 410 is as good as it gets (no sub required)! I have heard many brand cabinets...

i used to own a carvin redline 4x10 and a 1x15. i know its not the same as what they sell now but i was very impressed with their quality, especially for the price. i have also used high end ampeg/swr/eden/etc. i say go for it.

Carvin's neo loaded bass cabs use (or used) eminence deltalite neos (maybe a slightly tweaked version of them but not too far off.)

I'll back up Vinx on this as he has me many times before.The Neo 410 is a hidden jewel!
