Sparks, how do you like that TC rig? I've been kicking around going that direction. What's underneath the bottom cab?
Still digging my two SB5000's. One fretted, one fretless.
I forgot, I do have an SB5000 for sale. Feel free to PM if interested.
I"m just glad it's black and passive. I already own too many black, passive basses.
HeheYou know what they say - once you go black and passive...

It depends on the kind of sound you're looking for, and how pristine you want to keep the fingerboard. A lot of people use flatwounds on fretless to prevent any string marks or damage. I prefer the feel and sound of rounds. My bass came with the Carvin nickels, and the fingerboard had string marks after a couple of days, but they're just cosmetic and I don't play enough to worry about any serious fingerboard wear. Ebony is pretty tough stuff. As mentioned above, I just got a set of half-rounds for my bass, figuring they're a good compromise between the sound/sustain of rounds and the smoothness of flats. I'm in no hurry to change strings, though. What's the way to go on strings for fretless? I just put some DR Hi Beams on it.
