Case for a GK 1001 RB??

I use a three unit rack bag. The three unit size allows the head the breathing space it likes up top and the rack carry bag gives me easier over the shoulder transport than a simple rack.

Got one used here on TB for a good price. Use it all the time.

Just out of curiosity, why not a 2 unit, shallow rack? If you absolutely can't have a rack for aesthetic reasons, you might want to check out something like the Producer Bag by Mono. It's spendy, but looks pretty awesome.

SKB Xracks are cool and light. 4U means you can have an extra unit (power conditioner, compressor, whatever) in there. If you are willing to cut out a 1U rack tray you can have pedals and stuff mounted on that and still leaving the fan out intact. Just my 2 cents.

Gregmon,
I don't own one of the ones sold by Rondo, I was just offering it as a inexpensive choice. I'm a fan of Rondo Music and have happily purchased three basses and one pedalboard case from them.
Remember, you can always return it if it doesn't have the clearance that you need. I hope I didn't steer you the wrong way here.
Doug
P.S. I have my own GK 1001RBII in an SKB 4-space rack case, which is overkill when it comes to clearance. When I bought it, though, I didn't know that Rondo Music existed.

Oh I completely understand Doug, I would never blame someone else on something I decided to purchase. It looked like a great way to protect my amp that was pretty convenient in saying that it looked very easy to use and in fact did look good as far as clearance. I will probably email Rondo today or just wait until I get the bag. I expect its arrival in the next couple of days.

Well, here is the case all, it is just setting in there. There is still more than a half inch up past that metal lip on top above the amp. What do you guys think?? Should I get a bigger one?? I figure if I leave the flaps on the front AND back and the space on the top of it yet, it should be just fine right???
