Cat scratch rat fur problems... Any easy fixes?

Honestly, I think it all depends on what you're planning to do after all the fur is removed. I'm going to Tolex my cab after the fur is taken off, and to do that, you have to get the surface almost down to bare wood, or at least clear of all fur--otherwise, you get bumps in the Tolex. But if you're going to apply bedliner, for example, that's way more forgiving and will cover up fur remnants and other imperfections. For my purposes, I don't think there's any way that a fur trimmer will take enough fur off...
