Celebrating by righting an old mistake

I think the reason the search for tone is such a never ending quest for people is because all of the variables matter, and they all interact with each other significantly. Bass, pickup style and location and number, values for the volume/tone cap and pot, strings, amp, cab, room, technique. Add in how subjective the descriptive terms we have are and how widely everyone’s hearing and perception vary and it’s honestly amazing we can even kinda sorta agree on.
I think you summed it up pretty well.

Congratulations on the new amp. I have not played through a Shuttle in a long time, but try something just for fun even if it doesn't make sense at first. Play through the Shuttle flat for about 5 minutes and then plug into the Streamliner with the EQ set at Bass 9:30-ish, Mids 10:00, Mid Frequency 220 and Treble at 12:00. See what you think.
