CFG Zero-Gravity strap review

I bought one of those "Zero-Gravity" straps from CFG and I'm going to be returning it. It's not a bad strap (although it has a cheesy kind of feel about it), but it doesn't live up to any of the hype at all. All these guitar and bass guys hawking this thing must have been using dental floss for a strap to say that this made their guitar/bass feel lighter at all, let alone 50% lighter.

I already have a 3.5" padded leather strap and there's really no noticeable weight difference using either strap. As far as feel I prefer the cool and smooth leather, and the neoprene of the CFG strap doesn't grip your shirt at all. Unless your bass is well balanced this would be an annoying strap.

I ordered one a couple days ago.
Suppose to get it Monday.
Now I'm nervous. I'll keep the packaging intact.
It really depends on what you're replacing. If you're using a thin strap or a nylon strap this will be better. If I didn't already have a 3.5" padded leather strap and all of my basses balanced well (3 out of the 4 do) then I'd be keeping it.

I'm using an unpadded leather strap. 3 1/2"
I saw a YouTube video of a guy I follow, his reaction to the strap on a 10lb bass was surprising.
Might have been just good acting......?

We might have seen the same guy, but I don't want to judge here. All of the guitarists who did videos on this strap who were amazed were probably using normal 2" wide nylon straps, so of course they'd be in pain holding a Les Paul. They might not have ever thought of wearing a wider strap because that's "not what guitarists do" - that's a bass player thing.

I'm suspicious of the basists who seemed impressed because you'd think they'd know better. One bass player that made a video praising this strap because has lot of basses hanging behind him in every video and mentioned that some of them are heavy. If I know to use a wide padded strap for sure he does.

This is a fine strap if you like the neoprene thing, but the advertising is pretty sketchy from the bass playing side.

We saw the same video.
I've owned more expensive straps either way.
With shipping it was only $44ish

I just got a pair of them... The "long" version... they seem.. ok. Nothing particularly fantastic about it. They will do the job... Honestly I have a pair of Kliq Aircell Guitar straps I got off of Amazon, and those seem to be a little "better" made. Same concept.. just a little different. Your mileage may vary.

I have yet to find a neoprene strap I really liked.
Comfort Strapp didn't work for me, The Neotech came close but I still had shoulder fatigue.
So I'm just using a wide leather strap now, it's kinda big and bulky but I'm not sore after.

I’ve used comfort Strat for a long while. I bought the CFG and I don’t believe I would use another strap. A friend visited to play my Sadowsky. He ask about my strap soon after playing my bass. He bought a Sadowsky from Sweetwater and ordered the CFG strap. I guess they work great for some of us.
