If you're up for any genre, the heads to jazz standards, melodies from opera arias etc. are a great way to expand your horizons and play some things that are quite difficult on bass. Get a jazz fake book and a classical fake book and just play random stuff out of them. Did wonders for me and as a bonus some of that music can make GREAT metal - medieval chants, Edvard Grieg, Cole Porter...
