Double Bass Chamber Music

[Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

That's the good news. The bad news is that you need to actually find the music that interests you. I've been working my way through this list and have found sources for a lot of music. Please feel free to ask if you can't locate something. Somebody here will likely know where to obtain it.

I've had trouble finding sheet music for the Boccherini Quintets written with bass:
String Quintet in B-flat major, Op.39, No.1, G.337
String Quintet in F major, Op.39, No.2, G.338
String Quintet in D-flat major, Op.30, No.3, G.339

This is a challenge. IMSLP has the first one with a second cello part:
3 String Quintets, G.337-339 (Op.39) (Boccherini, Luigi) - IMSLP/Petrucci Music Library: Free Public Domain Sheet Music

OMI sells some facsimile editions, but that will cost $$, and I don't know how readable they are: OMI's Home Page - Specialists in Facsimile Editions

This company had them at one time according to Worldcat, and there are copies in a number of university libraries: Invalid Link Removed
It looks like they still carry it in facsimile edition. You may have to brush up on your German and send an email.

Will keep looking for commercial sources.

BTW, I think that last one you listed is also Op. 39?

It looks like Kammermusikverlag has all three, plus a few other Boccherini quintets with the 2nd cello part arranged for Db. Good news! This is according to google's translated version of their site. My German is not going to cut it, but I have a friend who is a native speaker, so I'll ask him to confirm and help me place the order.

Yes, all three are the same opus number. I copied and pasted off of the bass chamber music list site.

I just discovered a Darius Milhaud String Quintet(op.316) and I have copies of it now. It is a brilliant piece and utilizes 2 Vln, Vla,vcl, CB. I'm not sure how well known this piece is, but its awesome. I also love the Dvorak and Prokofiev Quintets. There is also a set of six rossini sonatas for strings, which are cute little quartets for vln, vla, vcl and cb.
