Chargers.... should Norv get fired??

I am a San Diego native and die hard Chargers fan. Marty was good but went super conservative and predictable as soon as he would get to the post season so I was actually for his firing. Then when we were interviewing people, I was hoping we would go after Gruden. Nope, we got Norv and I knew we were screwed. I now not only want him to go but AJ as well. We could have had Polomolu (sp?) instead got BUSTer Davis in a horrific trade. Could have had Clay Matthews instead got Larry English who when picked everyone all exclaimed, "Who?" We let one of our best front office guys go in Buddy Nix and forced him into an early unwanted retirement to hire in his place the owners kid who has sucked in every aspect of the word in finding pics since he replaced Nix. Nix on the other hand went back to Buffalo and has helped rebuild that team into something respectable in the last 2 years. I wish we had new owners too that actually knew what they were doing. Still can't believe they let Nix go even though he was productive and good at what he did to hire their own kid.
+1I hope the Chargers keep him. Go Raiders.
Norv is not head coaching material. Rivers is not a Super Bowl QB.
I believe Turner + Brees would produce rings sooner than (fill in the blank) + Rivers would.
Turner, Brees, & Sproles, maybe a couple decent WR's to compliment Vincent Jackson, and that would be one heck of a core for an offense...get even a half way decent HC/OC combo to go with it, and all hell could break loose.
...again, as a Saints fan, I really like the coaching and managment at San Diego, our farm team.
I'd have to disagree about Rivers...I think he is a SB caliber QB. Having said that....Go Norv
Coach matters A LOT.
He may not be throwing interceptions but he is the one giving QB bad plays to choose his failure with.
Example: SF 49ers.
If Rodgers was a 9ers right now we'd all be talking how dumb 9ers are for picking Rodgers instead of Alex Smith.
Coaches have this ability to ruin players. Like sending a rookie who never played in pro style offense into his first game. Good luck little guy, hope you don't get injured. Oh, you got injured well, i am going to tell media that you are faking it. Good old Nolan...
Think where Rodgers would be right now if they sent him into his first game with out any knowledge of pro football or game book. Then if Rodgers gets injured coach calls him up and says that he faking it. Doubt he'd be that good.
I think Norv was part of that deal too.
So your saying, if they were in one another cleats, Smith would have a ring. Correct me if I'm wrong.
If not the ring, he would definitely be better then Rodgers, if Rodgers had 7 different offensive coordinators in 7 years. Then again, we will never know. Rodgers went into a really good team, with good coach, played behind a good QB and good system. Alex Smith went to a huge mess.
I am a 9er fan, and 9er team was a complete mess, it was painful to watch. I know, I've went to several games a year during that stretch.
Only game I've seen them win was the last Bears game at the stick.Sidenote, can't wait for new stadium!

...that was pathetic, I really feel badly for you Chargers fans, lots of talent being totally wasted there because of management and coaching. They need to do more than fire Turner, they need to clean house from top to bottom and start over.
Just difficult to watch.
Maybe you'll cut one of your good OLB's, or neglect to resign them...Saints could sure use one from our farm team...THEN get rid of your front office, hmmkay?
