Cheap stoner rock amp

I don't know what brand, but it has to be big and heavy and you have to drive it around in this:

IMO -- nothing says "Cheap stoner rock bass" like the old aluminum-knob Peavey BASS amps

The series input lets you get truly distasteful amounts of distortion going on.

Then all you needs is a big, ugly speaker cab...or better yet, TWO big, ugly speaker cabs
(the amp above is 2-ohm capable).

I was going to post exactly this! I had that amp, back in the day, and ran it through an SVT 8x10. The oomph and sludge levels were beyond comprehension.

But I'd just blow my money on this:

Then save up for something along these lines:

Yeah, there's deals out there on SVTs, definitely the best option. Buying a 2Pro was the best gear decision I've ever made.

But, if OP needs something now, the Peavey stack is a damn good way to go too.

Both those bands are running expensive gear. Geezer uses/used recently a Hartke kilo head, which has tone very similar to their L500/L1000 amps. Those can be found reasonably-priced.

I find that for stoner rock, the best thing is to get a delay pedal, so every note is about a half-second late....:cigar:
I'm actually surprised how well the LH1000 sounds for low tuned heavy stuff. Now hopefully the hydrive 410 im picking up tomorrow responds to it as well.

That peavey setup is cool, that Ampeg cab is about $250 overpriced, especially in its current condition. I wouldn't pay more than $400 for a beat up ampeg 2x15.

Al Cisernos has used Orange, Ampg SVT's and Marshall amps in stuff I've seen. Basically, tubes. Search for the most affordable tube amp you can find.

Unfortunately for us frugal bros, they are hard to come by.
