Chinese forgery. Someone posted a MM Bongo the other day that was also a fake.
If it sounds too good to be true, it is too good to be true. Really need to be aware of what to look for on these because there are fakes out there.

DHgate is a website for Chinese knock-offs of all kinds, not just musical instruments. You can be assured that nothing on that website is authentic.
The old adage of "too good (a deal) to be true" also holds water.

I thought the Chinese knockoffs was really called Fedora to make a slight difference. So Fodera would always be the real deal.

You know, back in the counterfeit days, there was Ganson guitars from Japan, same logo as Gibson, and there was Fernandes counterfeiting Fender... I would think it would be great fun if someone tried to do a breed of the two, Fender and Fodera bass in one bass.... Fondera? Fendora?

Chinese knockoffs for sure. The bridge and the shape of control cavity with batter door are a dead giveaways.

Not to mention the 'ebony' section of the top is too thick and doesn't match up to the flame (though I bet it's foto-flame) maple, the heel isn't carved to line up to the joint, the heel bolts are in the wrong position, the tuners aren't stamped, the headstock isn't angled or carved correctly at the nut, the truss rod cavity isn't concave and too big, the pickups aren't stamped, the strap buttons aren't recessed, the bridge is too far forward on the body
