There's a retired Peavey employee named Chip in the Austin area who bought/salvaged a lot of stock from Hartley's storage and attics in the old plant (Hartley pretty much told him he could have them). He's been building instruments using Peavey bodies, etc. for some time. Are some of these from his stock?
To the OP, sorry for the slight hijack. You mean Chip Todd? The guy pictured below. Extremely nice guy. Was building all kinds of things including the skeleton T60 and so cool short scale basses. He is completely retired now and living in South Texas. Here is a couple of shots of the parts you were talking about. My understanding is he had a hell of a yardsale before he moved. No all the TL-6's pictured I have picked up over the years. I was going to have Chip build me a skeleton T40 but sadly he retired before it could happen.
