Check out my band. (Metal content)

Could you expand upon that? Is there anything that you like about the vocals?

I for one love heavy music but just can't seem to get past bands that do the Roaring, screaming type vocals, where your singer is actually singing, it sounds good but you loose me when the roaring comes in..... thats just my opinion and I'm sure alot of people love that type of vox but I'm not one of them.... sorry..... over all, it sounds good....

I'm going to go with the flow, here. Which is wild, because I usually don't in real life. Anyway, the band is really pretty good, although the guitarist is not terribly inventive. Not a problem, just an observation. The licks he plays are popular, so they must be good. The lead singer isn't bad, but he should sing all the time. I love heavy metal, even most death metal, but don't care for screamo. Roaring and screaming are becoming passé, anyway, at least around here. For me, I like to understand the lyrics, and think a melody should have some semblance of, i don't know... melody.

Interesting observation on the guitar parts. The guitarists don't even listen to much newer metal, so that's interesting that you say that the riffs are familiar.

I'm not sure what "screamo" is and I've never been able to quite figure out what that means. I listen to tons of music where the vocal approach is along these same lines. I have been working with the vocalist, encouraging him to sing more and more.

Here's an interesting observation. All of the local bands have said that our disc has too much singing. Haha

I really liked the song when it picked up, and your vocalist has kind of a Howard Jones vibe to him when he sings (not his tone, but the way he pushes out notes), which I also liked. The chorus is really good, and the guitar work before the "breakdown" around 4:20 was cool. I did feel that the intro dragged on a bit though and was definitely the least enjoyable part for me. Not to say that it was bad though, and im sure it's cool live. Overall I liked it.
All IMO obviously

I think the music is good if not really good...I think the whole gothic knight image thing is silly. My 00.02

The costumes are necessary because the whole band has backstory. The lyrics are all part of one big story that is being told over four releases. Yup. We're a concept band.

Kind of like Coheed and Cambria except you're not in jail for stealing oxycontin

As for your music, I really dug it.
